Sorrento is a town in southern Italy that overlooks the Bay of Naples. It is a famous tourist site and is readily accessible from Naples and Pompeii due to its location at the southern end of the Circumvesuviana train line. The views from the Sorrentine Peninsula include Naples, Vesuvius, and the Isle of Capri. The Amalfi Drive, which connects Sorrento and Amalfi, is a winding route that runs along the high cliffs above the Tyrrhenian Sea.

The town is connected by ferry and hydrofoil to Naples, Amalfi, Positano, Capri, and Ischia. Celebrities such as Enrico Caruso and Luciano Pavarotti have visited Sorrento’s coastal cliffs and luxury hotels.

Limoncello is a Sorrento-made digestif prepared from lemon rinds, alcohol, water, and sugar. Citrus fruit, wine, almonds, and olives are among the other agricultural products produced.
