What started as a plant for the production of inline-four engines for the Audi brand has evolved into a multifaceted manufacturing center. Currently, the plant manufactures the renowned Audi TT sports vehicle, encompassing both the Coupé and Roadster forms, in addition to the A3 Cabriolet and A3 Limousine models. The scope of engine manufacture has expanded considerably, including V6 and V8 engines, and extending to V10 engines with Audi’s acquisition of Lamborghini.

The production capacity of the Audi facility is remarkable. In 2007, the plant manufactured over 1.9 million engines, demonstrating its efficiency and capability. The factory’s impact transcends the Audi brand, providing engines to other marques within the Volkswagen Group; yet, over 90% of Audi vehicle engines are manufactured at this facility.
