In the world, Italian cuisine is best known for pasta. Today, Italian pasta or pasta is an integral part of the diet all over the planet.
The first long noodles were brought to Sicily by the Arab conquerors in the 7th century. Noodles cooked in water were excellent food for long journeys by ship.
The city of Palermo, which was an Arab colony at the time, became famous for noodles that were eaten without anything.

The most popular of all sauces was created only in the 16th century, when the Spanish brought tomatoes from the newly discovered America, more precisely from Peru.

According to Italian law, pasta is made from dulum wheat, water and salt, and then dried. Dulum wheat is rich in gluten, which gives pasta elasticity.
