Description

The Phoenix Golf Resort is situated 40 kilometers north of Hanoi in a region known as “Halong Bay on Land.” The view from the course and clubhouse is breathtaking, as the limestone outcroppings that frame and come into play on many of the holes are reminiscent of those found in Halong Bay.

The Phoenix Golf Resort’s 54 holes make it one of the largest golf facilities in Vietnam and Asia.

Each of the three courses at Phoenix, designed by Ronald Fream, utilizes severe fairway and green undulations as well as creative routing through and around the distinctive-looking limestone cliffs. Additional Japanese and Korean design contributions ensure that the surrounding environment is both protected and beautiful.

The names of the three courses are Phoenix, Dragon, and Champion. The Champion is an open links-style course, but the other two are more hilly. Try the Phoenix Course, but don’t miss a single hole on the Dragon Course, which is the most magnificent and greatest.

As a result of its dramatic splendor and intensity, the front nine may leave you dumbfounded. You can catch your breath on the inward-nine, where the layout gradually leads you back towards the clubhouse and has a number of exquisitely designed, challenging, and impeccably presented holes. The lengthy par-4 18th, which is guarded by a deep, watery ravine to the front left of the green, is a particularly difficult finishing hole.
