AON Hanoi Landmark Tower (or AON Landmark 72) is a supertall mixed-use skyscraper located on Pham Hung road in the Nam Tu Liem neighborhood of Hanoi, Vietnam. The complex comprises of a 350-meter-tall, 72-story mixed-use skyscraper and two 48-story hotel twin towers. The entire floor area of Landmark 72 is 609,673 square meters, making it the fifth largest floor area of a single building in the world. South Korean corporation Keangnam Enterprises, Ltd. is the investor and operator of the complex. The anticipated investment capital is $1.05 billion.
The complex consists of a five-star InterContinental hotel, offices, entertainment areas, retail spaces, clinics, and convention centers. The facility opened on May 18, 2012. Indirectly, Keangnam Enterprises held a 70% share in Landmark 72. The corporation invested over $1 billion using bank loans totaling $510 million.
Vietnam’s tallest stair climbing competition, the Vietnam Landmark 72 Hanoi Vertical Run, takes place at Landmark 72. On 30 September 2012, runners initially raced to see who could mount the tower’s 1,914 stairs the quickest.
