Description

Hanoi Golf Club, located in the capital of Vietnam, is the only golf course in Vietnam to be operated by the Japanese. The Hanoi Golf Club layout is 108 hectares and 7,301 yards in length. The golf course in Hanoi is situated at the base of neighboring low-lying mountains with gradual slopes with a 20-meter change in height between the highest and lowest places.

As expected under Japanese management, the Hanoi Golf Club is exceptionally well-maintained and a solid favorite among Hanoi golfers, particularly those seeking a more forgiving course than some of Hanoi’s more difficult courses. The purpose of the design is to make the course more accessible and enjoyable for all golfers, as evidenced by the expansive fairways and ample space between them. The front and back nines are placed on each side of the clubhouse on relatively open and level terrain, with generally wide fairways that encourage the usage of the driver.

The front nine is generally flat and has large, open fairways where out-of-bounds are barely visible, making it ideal for long drives off the tee.

However, the back nine features a greater mix of uphill and downhill holes, all of which need precise club selection for more accurate placement shots. The greens are expansive and undulating in order to serve as an appropriate test for a championship course.

Even though the bunkers and out-of-bounds areas are relatively shallow, they are abundant, and water hazards emerge often along the fairways of 10 holes and guard three greens. The par-3 13th is one of the course’s most appealing holes, enhanced by a gorgeous island pond that must be carried from tee to green. The 600-yard, dogleg fifth is also an exciting par 5 that demands three accurate strokes to reach the green in regulation.

With 27 golf holes and illumination for night golf, HGC also built the broad, moderately undulating fairways with the finest grass – Tip ton 328 is maintained by the foremost turf experts. In addition, HGC is equipped with an electric vehicle system that enables golfers to move quickly between lines.

At the Hanoi Golf Club, golfers will enjoy their round both on and off the course. There are Japanese and foreign eateries, a pro store, clean and contemporary locker rooms and showers, and a pro shop in the exquisite clubhouse.
