Description

The Dong Nai Golf Resort is 90 minutes away from Ho Chi Minh City. The parkland course, which is located on a huge wooded land piece on the banks of Cloudy River Lake, provides golfers with magnificent golf course views.

Each of the 27 holes is distinct and offers a one-of-a-kind challenge to golfers in Vietnam. Ward W Northrup designed a visually appealing but playable golf course. Because it is located at the bottom of a valley, the Bo Chang Dong Nai golf course provides year-round calm playing conditions with little wind.

Due to the golf course’s proximity to a large and lovely natural lake (Ho Song May – Cloudy River Lake), golfers can enjoy a variety of stunning seasonal vistas, particularly during the dry and humid season. This remarkable design is intended to improve the visual appeal of the golf course. Dong Nai Golf Resort was voted the greatest landscape in Vietnam in 2003, and it will struggle to reclaim the respect of newer competitors.

The initial 18 holes of the Dong Nai golf course were formally opened in 1997, and Northup Ward built 9 more in 2002, bringing the total to 27.

The 27-hole golf course was developed on 300 hectares and meets worldwide standards, with three standard courses labeled A, B, and C. Each course has 9 holes and is roughly 3500 yards long.

The first word that comes to mind while thinking about this Vietnam golf course is steep. The very serene and quiet surroundings with trees lined up on either side of the sloping fairway come into play right away. Furthermore, the landing location is steep due to the height shift of 62 to 180 feet above sea level.

The north nine begins with four holes placed around the shore of a steep, densely forested peninsula. The route necessitates counterclockwise movement between dense woodlands on the right and a lake on the left. On the first tee, hit the ball around the lake for a short dogleg from a tee that is 60 feet higher to the fairway. It’s only 492 yards down from the middle of the fairway, but you’ll need 312-yard carriers to clip the turn and place the ball in the section sloping towards the lake. The green requires two shots, the second of which is uphill in 45 feet and surrounded by bunkers.

A lot of water hazards are one of the highlights of the Bo Chang Dong Nai Golf Course, especially in the opening five holes and seven of the back nine. The picturesque backdrop formed by water on several holes is combined with water. The trademark third hole, a par three, is surrounded by a beautiful terrain with breathtaking lake views and numerous wildlife (165 yards). The lake backdrop is emphasized on this hole because it necessitates playing up to an island green. The 10th and 11th holes on the Bo Chang Dong Nai golf course are also noteworthy (395 yards and 535 yards, respectively). To reach the greens, all of them necessitate a precise approach by both layups and water-carries. Water is also an impediment at the green of the fifteenth dogleg to the left.

Dong Nai Golf offers well-trained caddies for rounds of golf as well as a clubhouse with ample meal options. In addition to the well-equipped and well-designed course based on natural diversity, the Bo Chang Dong Nai Golf Course offers on-site lodging and a variety of sporting activities. Furthermore, the crew is well-educated and will deliver outstanding services to all golfers.

Dong Nai Golf Course is located around 50 kilometers north of downtown Ho Chi Minh City.
