Description

The National Assembly Building of Vietnam, commonly known as the New BaDinh Hall, is a public building in Hanoi, Vietnam, located on Ba Dinh Square across from the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum. Construction began on October 12, 2009, and was completed on October 20, 2014. The National Assembly of Vietnam uses the building for regular sessions and other official purposes.

The structure has five stories and two below floors, with 540 rooms and a total height of 39 meters (128 feet) and floor area of 63,240 square meters (680,700 sq ft). The building is divided into two sections: the meeting room in the center of the circular and the block encircling the square. The National Assembly House features about 80 meeting spaces, including two big halls and two primary meeting rooms: the National Assembly Conference Room (dubbed Dien Hong after the Dien Hong Conference) and Standing Committee meeting rooms. National Assembly (called Tan Trao after the Tan Trao National Congress), proposed by delegate Duong Trung Quoc.

The building has two entrances: one main hall facing west, Independence Street (on the side of Ba Dinh Square), and another facing Bac Son Street with a huge yard for outdoor ceremonies. The Hall is located at the bottom of the conference room as an open space. The hall serves as a welcome area as well as a venue for high-level occasions. The two sides of the hall to the building are two systems of 12 escalators extending from the first to third floors. The other floors must use elevators, which include 10 lifts and 2 lifts for the disabled. Corridor with the same floor design.
