Villaggio Mall

Villaggio Mall is a retail center located in the Aspire Zone on the west end of Doha, Qatar’s capital. It is located on Al Waab Street between the Hyatt Plaza and Sports City and contains more than 200 retailers, including several well-known American, British, Italian, and German brands.

The interiors are decorated in the style of an Italian hill village and feature a 150-meter-long canal with gondolas.

The Mall reopened partially on September 20, 2012, after satisfying stringent safety measures in the wake of the May fire that claimed 19 lives. As a result, portions of the mall remain closed; however, the food court, ice rink, movie theater, Carrefour hypermarket, and many retailers are open for business, with more opening as they are able to replenish their inventory.

An indoor canal with gondolas transports consumers around one wing of the mall, disembarking them at Via Domo, a posh thoroughfare lined with every luxury shopper’s favorite brands. Dior, Dolce & Gabbana, Gucci, and Louis Vuitton, Fendi, Bulgari, and Cartier are a some of the brands that can be found along the Via Domo’s richly gilded corridors.

A variety of cafés and restaurants accommodate various dietary and financial requirements. Entertaining activities begin with a gondola trip to the Gondolania amusement park. This mall-based indoor amusement park features a bowling alley, laser tag, roller glider, rollercoaster, and go-kart track. It contains the only Olympic-sized ice rink in Doha and is the largest rink recognized by the Ice-Skating Institute of Asia. Additionally, Gondolania features a 4D theater with chairs that respond to on-screen action and unique effects including air blasts, water sprays, neck and leg ticklers, and vibrating seats.

For a less immersive moviegoing experience, visit to the mall’s IMAX theater. Here, patrons may see the most recent films in the comfort of luxurious chairs. The mall includes a wealth of additional services, such as complimentary high-speed WiFi to maintain continual connectivity, VIP valet parking, porter services so you can shop without dropping, and wheelchair services, to meet the needs of all visitors.

Aspire Park is located adjacent to Villaggio Mall and features running and walking paths, children’s playgrounds, and a café. The facility serves all athletic demands, including the hosting of major events, training camps, conferences, research, injury diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation. It is also the location of Khalifa International Stadium, one of the sites hosting FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 matches.

The Villagio Mall is easily accessible by automobile or cab (Uber is widely used, alternatively Karwa or Careem). There are parking places available. The distance between Hamad International Airport and the hotel is around 30 minutes. The mall is accessible via metro (Gold Line, Al-Aziziyah Station).
