In November 2017, ONE GALLERY launched its 160-square-meter facility in the centre of Sofia. The gallery has developed a narrowly limited program that focuses on new sculpture, minimalism, chromatic-ism, form, and tension. The gallery showcases a small group of young and mid-career international artists. It is situated on the intersection of 14 Ivan Vazov Str. and The 6th of September Str. in Sofia, Bulgaria, and has one of the biggest commercial areas in the city.
ONE GALLERY debuted in May 2015 in the Serdika Offices atrium, with an initial show, Palimpsest, by Bogdan Alexandrov.
ONE GALLERY will provide a year-round exhibition program as well as additional chances for artists to present exhibits and unique projects in an intimate location in the center of Sofia, which is cherished by the artists.
The gallery immediately gained recognition for exhibiting the works of renowned and rising artists from all around the globe.
The gallery expanded further on November 28, 2017, with the establishment of a second viewing room on the intersection of 14 Ivan Vazov Str. and The 6th of September Str. in Sofia, Bulgaria.
The modest exhibition space is located in a twentieth-century structure, the former military printing shop in Sofia’s upper center.
The new facility was designed by architect Georgy Ovcharov and built by CONA project architects, and it includes galleries and viewing rooms. The gallery is housed in a renovated neo-classical structure. The building’s sculptural, austere design offers a striking approach from the street. In addition, the gallery maintains an office in New York.
