Description

Today, Nguyen Hue Street is regarded as one of Ho Chi Minh City’s most attractive streets. Along with Dong Khoi Street and Le Loi Street, it is one of the three streets in the largest city in Vietnam with the highest land prices. When night falls, Nguyen Hue Walking Street in Ho Chi Minh City becomes a genuinely beautiful place. With a variety of vibrant shops, restaurants, and entertainment venues on either side of the street, visitors visiting modern Ho Chi Minh City are always attracted to this area.

The length of the pedestrian street is 670 meters, and its building cost was around 430 billion Vietnamese Dong. It is situated fully on Nguyen Hue Street in Ben Nghe Ward, District 1 – the city’s core. The Boulevard is always packed with pedestrians during the day, and once the sun sets, it transforms into a vibrant, shimmering pedestrian zone. On Saturday evenings and Sundays, all vehicular traffic is prohibited to allow room for pedestrians.

This street is one of the two main business centers of the city (the second is Dong Khoi Street). This is the reason why land use rights on this street are so expensive. This boulevard contains numerous multistory buildings, opulent commercial districts, and packed eateries.

For many years, Nguyen Hue Street was Ho Chi Minh City’s primary spring flower market. This market has been relocated to 23/9 park, however to remember the old market, the Nguyen Hue Flower Street Festival has been organized as an annual Tet holiday event for the past seven years. During the Tet holiday, the street is flooded with flowers of all types and hues, which are arranged magnificently and impressively in accordance with the annual theme. This event brings millions of visitors to Nguyen Hue Flower Street to appreciate its beauty.
