History Of Dam Sen Cultural Park
The ground on which Dam Sen currently sits was once untamed marshland. Between 1976 and 1978, Ho Chi Minh City’s people’s committee organized labor forces to drain and cultivate the land.
By 1983, the project had expanded to span around 30 hectares of water and vegetation, and its management had been handed from the city to the 11th District. The 11th enlisted three entities to operate the park: the good corporation, the cultural business, and the seafood firm.
The project was handed over to the Phu Tho firm, a new division of the Foods Corporation, in 1989.
