Tan Son Nhat Golf Course in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

Tan Son Nhat Golf Course offers 36 illuminated holes, a driving range, rentals and extensive clubhouse facilities close to central Ho Chi Minh City.

Tan Son Nhat Golf Course is a 36-hole golf complex in Ho Chi Minh City, close to the airport and far more convenient to the historic urban core than most full-size courses in southern Vietnam. Designed by Nelson & Haworth, it is organized as four separate nine-hole courses—A, B, C and D—each par 36. The facility suits business travelers, short-stay golfers and visitors who want a full round without committing to a two-hour transfer each way. Its main tradeoff is the opposite of a remote resort: you gain exceptional city access but lose the sense of being isolated in the countryside.

The operator gives a total course length of 14,664 yards across 156 hectares, with all four nines fully illuminated. Course A is 3,678 yards, B 3,618, C 3,749 and D 3,619 from their listed maximum tees. The four-nine structure allows different 18-hole combinations and makes 9-, 18-, 27- and 36-hole bookings possible. Water, bunkering, elevation changes and large greens create enough variety that the course does not feel like four identical loops built around an airport boundary.

The design descriptions published by the course show noticeable differences between the nines. A includes lakeside holes and broad fairways, B mixes woodland-style landscaping and water, C has more pronounced undulation, and D is described as more open and nature-oriented. This variety helps the course serve both regular local golfers and visitors who may only play one combination. Players should check which nines are assigned when booking rather than assuming a particular course sequence.

Tan Son Nhat has a full urban-club infrastructure. The current official site lists a driving range, pro shop, restaurant, locker rooms and tournament services. The service-price page includes rental clubs, shoes, umbrellas, range balls, practice clubs and chip-and-putt access. This makes it one of the easier southern Vietnam courses for travelers arriving without their own full kit, although rental inventory should still be reserved if a specific club configuration is important.

The club is actively operating in 2026. It celebrated its 11th anniversary in August 2026 with a week of promotions and tournaments, including an unlimited-golf day and extra-hole offers. Current reservation pages also remain live. That activity is useful evidence because it confirms not only that the course exists, but that all-day golf operations, events and booking support are current.

Pricing changes with time and day. The main service-price page is labeled from 1 January 2025 and says prices may change until further notice, while 2026 anniversary promotions show special rates such as 2.3 million VND for selected early and late tee times. Third-party booking platforms also publish 2026 packages. Travelers should therefore request a live quotation for the exact date rather than treat any single promotional price as the standard green fee.

The reservation desk states support hours of 05:30–22:00. That is not exactly the same as guaranteed course-access hours, but it shows the breadth of the daily operation. The 2026 anniversary program referred to playing hours extending to 21:00 on its unlimited-golf day. For the sidebar, the safest practical wording is course access by confirmed tee time, with booking support from early morning to late evening.

The current official address is No. 6 Tân Sơn Street, An Hội Tây Ward, Ho Chi Minh City. Older material uses different ward names or an address on Tân Sơn, but the current site should take precedence. The course is near Tân Sơn Nhất International Airport, yet airport traffic and city congestion can still make a short map distance unpredictable. Golfers with flights on the same day should leave generous margins for changing, checkout and road traffic.

An 18-hole round should be budgeted at roughly four to five hours, plus time for arrival and changing. The illuminated layout means later play is possible under course scheduling, which can be useful during hot months. Heat, rain and thunderstorms remain practical considerations even on a city course, so same-day weather checks are sensible.

Accessibility is not comprehensively documented. Golf carts reduce walking, but adapted clubhouse routes, accessible toilets and playing assistance should be confirmed directly for anyone with specific mobility needs.

Tan Son Nhat Golf Course is the most practical full-course option in this batch for a visitor based in central Ho Chi Minh City. Its strengths are location, 36 holes, extensive facilities and long daily operating support. Reserve the exact nine-hole combination, verify the current tariff and allow for city traffic. For travelers who want serious golf without leaving the metropolitan area for an entire day, that convenience is the course’s decisive advantage.

The proximity to the airport can be helpful, but it should not encourage risky scheduling. A four- or five-hour round, changing time and unpredictable road traffic can easily erase the apparent convenience of being near the terminal. Playing on an arrival day can work when the flight lands early and the tee time is flexible; playing immediately before an international departure requires a much larger buffer than the map suggests.
