Dry and cool is the second phase of February. The temperature will gradually rise, accompanied by a light ocean wind and a decline in precipitation. The third phase, dry-warm, lasts from March through May. During these months, the maximum temperature reaches 33 degrees Celsius. That is the beginning of summer in Danang, though it is summer year-round. March and April, the two driest months of the year, have extremely low average precipitation, which gradually rises in May. The scorching sun is beginning to impede your city walking or hiking.
The final phase, dry-hot, takes place between June and August. They are the hottest months of the year, with temperatures reaching as high as 40 degrees Celsius. You will begin to experience the usual heat of Central Vietnam, accompanied by exceptionally long hours of sunlight. Protect yourself from direct sunshine by using a hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen, and by staying hydrated. Wear shorts, tank tops, and short-sleeved shirts, but also bring a light jacket for extended journeys on sleeper buses.
