Butamyata Beach is the main organized beach immediately south of Sinemorets, inside the coastal landscape of Strandzha Nature Park. It is the practical choice for visitors who want the scenery of Bulgaria’s far southern Black Sea coast without giving up serviced beach basics. The Ministry of Tourism lists Butamyata as an active concession beach and publishes current prices for umbrellas and sunbeds, while Strandzha Nature Park identifies the Butamyata area as part of a biologically rich coast where orchids, mulleins and wind-shaped vegetation occur. The beach therefore sits between two identities: it is a managed summer bathing place and, at the same time, part of a protected natural setting that requires more care than an ordinary urban resort beach.

Sinemorets is the right visitor locality. Butamyata lies at the southern edge of the village and is much easier to reach than the remote coves farther along the Strandzha coast. Current secondary beach information describes parking close to the sand and seasonal lifeguard coverage, while local visitor information treats the beach as walkable from the village. That makes it a useful base beach for families, first-time visitors to Sinemorets and anyone who does not want to navigate rough forest tracks simply to swim. The tradeoff is popularity: during the main summer period it can feel considerably busier than the secluded beaches farther south.

The 2026 cost picture is unusually clear. The Ministry of Tourism currently lists an umbrella at €2.80 / 5.48 BGN and a sunbed at the same price. These are concession-service prices, not an admission charge to the beach itself. Visitors who prefer their own towel or shade should look for the legally required free zone rather than assuming every part of the sand is rented furniture. Because prices and concession arrangements can change between seasons, the figure should still be checked on the posted tariff when you arrive, but it is a far stronger planning reference than an old review or travel-forum estimate.

Butamyata also earned Blue Flag recognition for the 2026 season according to the published national list reported by Bulgarian National Television. That certification is useful because it relates to water quality, environmental management, safety and visitor services, but it should not be read as a guarantee that the sea is calm at all times. The bay can still experience wind and waves, and the safest decision on any given day is to follow the beach flags and lifeguard instructions. Families with children may appreciate the organized zone, but supervision at the waterline remains essential.

One important correction is necessary for older descriptions of the beach. The legacy Travel S Helper name claimed that one part of Butamyata was an FKK beach. The current official sources reviewed for this batch do not support that as a formal identity or designated status. The Ministry of Tourism lists the beach simply as Butamyata, and the Strandzha park material discusses its natural setting without identifying an official naturist sector. The V2 page therefore uses the neutral current name Butamyata Beach. Visitors interested in naturist bathing should not rely on the old label as proof of present-day designation or accepted use.

The environmental context is more than decorative background. In March 2025 the Ministry of Tourism ordered an inspection after environmental authorities reported earthworks and construction activity within the protected territory around the beach. That episode underlines why development, vehicle movement and alterations to the terrain are sensitive here. Visitors should stay on established access routes, avoid driving or parking on dunes and vegetated areas, and take litter away. A concession does not remove the obligations that come from being inside Strandzha Nature Park.

A sensible visit is usually three to six hours, enough for swimming, resting and a meal or drink in the serviced area. Butamyata also works as the starting point for coastal exploration, but the beaches beyond it are a different proposition. Strandzha visitor information describes routes toward Lipite and farther south as progressively less developed. Do not treat a short beach walk as equivalent to a formal accessible trail, and carry water if continuing beyond the organized zone. The protected landscape is part of the attraction, yet it also means fewer urban conveniences once you leave the main beach.

Accessibility remains only partly verified. Road access and nearby parking make Butamyata easier than Silistar or more remote wild beaches, but the sources reviewed do not establish a continuous step-free path across soft sand or confirm specialized mobility equipment. Visitors who use wheelchairs or have limited walking ability should ask the concession operator or local accommodation for current details about the most level entrance, toilets and assistance. The organized nature of the beach improves the odds of practical support, but it is not enough evidence to certify the beach as fully accessible.

Butamyata is best for travelers who want Sinemorets scenery with a conventional beach-day structure: lifeguard-supervised summer bathing, rentable furniture and food nearby, all within reach of the village. Silistar, farther south, offers a stronger sense of separation and protected-bay atmosphere; Veleka Beach north of the village gives a completely different river-mouth landscape. Choosing Butamyata means choosing convenience over isolation. That makes it the most straightforward beach in Sinemorets for many visitors, provided they respect the protected setting and rely on current signs rather than legacy claims about special-use sections.
