Sarafovo

Sarafovo

Sarafovo is a settlement on the Bulgarian Black Sea Coast that is considered a suburb of Burgas. Burgas is dubbed the Beverly Hills of Bulgaria owing to its affluent population and has a university, pedestrianized commercial sections, sidewalk cafés and restaurants, gorgeous city parks, and an amazing beach.

Sarafovo is an exceptionally appealing resort due to the superb mix of water, sun, and good transit links. Each season, the number of hotels and residential complexes grows. The location is especially popular with Irish and Norwegian visitors looking for a tranquil getaway in a traditional Bulgarian town. There is a wide variety of lodging available, from inexpensive and cheery guesthouses to luxurious vacation complexes. However, the region is devoid of high-rise structures, preserving its feeling of tranquillity and leisure. Sarafovo’s primary economic activity is tourism, although unlike other bigger resorts, Sarafovo does not shut at the conclusion of the major vacation season, maintaining a year-round ‘lived-in’ attitude.

Sarafovo also has a magnificent broad, sandy beach ideal for watersports and swimming. And if you’re into extreme sports, a short drive will take you to an incredible Quad Bike/ATV safari through the slopes of Marinka, a picturesque town near Bourgas.

Sarafovo has a plethora of stores offering clothing and electronic products, as well as beach toys and inflatables. On the major thoroughfares, fruit and vegetable booths may be found. Additionally, there are mini-markets, pharmacies, and an Internet café.

All hotels and complexes, notably Sarafovo Residence, Plaza, and Atlantis, feature excellent bars.

Sarafovo is located around 2 kilometers from Burgas International Airport. Each day, dozens of flights take place, yet none of them pass over Sarafovo. Visitors like the airport’s vicinity without being bothered by it.

Sarafovo is close to Burgas’s city center (10 kilometers), as well as the beach hamlet of Pomorie (7 km). Nesebar and the Sunny Beach beach resort (25 km).

Geography of Sarafovo

Sarafovo is located ten kilometers from Burgas’s central business district. Nearly 4,000 people live in over 1,300 dwellings.

It is located on a hill overlooking the Black Sea, with a magnificent view of the whole Burgas harbor, Pomorie, Sozopol, and Burgas, as well as the towering peaks of the Strandzha Mountain. Additionally, Sarafovo features a large, sandy beach.

Tourism in Sarafovo

Each season, the number of hotels and venues of entertainment rises. Irish and Norwegian visitors are especially fond of the location. Sarafovo’s economic activity is centered on tourism, although unlike other bigger resorts, Sarafovo does not shut after the conclusion of the primary holiday season. July and August are the busiest months for tourism, when the population reaches 10,000–12,000 people.

Burgas International Airport, which is less than 1 km from Sarafovo, also contributes significantly to tourist numbers. The airport handled more than 2.8 million passengers in 2016. Sarafovo is close to Burgas’s city center (10 kilometers), the coastal village of Pomorie (7 kilometers), Nessebar, and the Sunny Beach beach resort (25 km).

Additionally, Sarafovo is attracting a rising number of international immigrants who have made Bulgaria their home. Additionally, there is a yacht port. Sarafovo’s overall goal is to become „Burgas’ European face.“
