As a consequence of the project’s completion, a newly planned public green space was constructed. The project improves the social environment for leisure and family-type entertainment on the territory of Sofia Municipality, particularly in the “Vuzrazhdane” area, by enhancing the region’s economic performance in order to attract investments and generate new employment. The park has a total area of 52 decares, containing approximately 29,000 square meters of grasslands and over 600 trees, shrubs, and flowers, including deciduous (maple, birch, magnolia, linden, sycamore, oak) and coniferous (silver spruce, fir, and cedar). All of this is irrigated by an automatic irrigation system designed specifically for this purpose.
There are also approximately 100 seats, garbage bins, and three drinking faucets throughout the park. Aside from the particularly constructed playground for children, the park “Vuzrajdane” provides other opportunities for games and amusement. The “dry” fountain is the major attraction. Because of the diversity of water streams, it is very enjoyable for youngsters. Each stream has diode lighting that allows for varied color combinations, which, when paired with the diverse heights and orientations of the streams, makes a really intriguing water display. Furthermore, the “dry” fountain may form a “water screen,” which is utilized for displaying films and movies. The Amphitheater was constructed and planned primarily for gatherings and concerts.
On April 17, 2016, the park was formally inaugurated. This is Sofia’s first new park built in the previous 30 years.
The park “Vuzrajdane” is constructed on the same ground as the sport complex, which was also developed with the help of FSUDSFSUDS and the JESSICA program. For inhabitants and visitors to Sofia, a big area that had been empty for many years has become a center of interest for athletic activities, relaxation, socializing, and entertainment. Permanent green areas, park spaces, and a new road surface are available.
