Mall of Sofia

The Mall of Sofia is a retail mall located in the heart of Sofia, Bulgaria’s capital. It opened on June 9, 2006, at the junction of Aleksandar Stamboliyski Boulevard and Opalchenska Street in the city center. Sofia Tower, an office structure situated right above Mall of Sofia, is part of the complex.

The mall is four floors tall and has a total built-up area of 70,000 m2, of which 35,000 m2 is commercial and leisure space and 10,000 m2 is office space, while the underground parking lot is 22,000 m2 and has a capacity of 700 automobiles. The remaining 8,000 m2 is taken up by service and communal spaces.

MooreSpeakman International designed the complex, which includes 130 retailers, a supermarket, pharmacies, a beauty salon, an Internet café, and DVD and video rentals, among other things. The Mall of Sofia also has a variety of restaurants and cafés (including McDonalds, KFC, and Pizza Hut), as well as Theater City, a 12-screen multiplex cinema that also houses M-Tel IMAX, the first 3-D IMAX theatre in Southeastern Europe.
