Can Rodes is a public parking and recreation complex in Santa Coloma, within Andorra la Vella. Its motorhome area is managed as a regulated overnight facility for motorhomes, campers and campervans, separate from the adjacent general parking and long-term vehicle-storage spaces. The site is close to Avinguda Santa Coloma and the river promenade, with the city centre reachable on foot or by local bus. AX Area Camper currently manages the short-stay plots and handles reservations, payment and digital access through its TripStop system.

The rotating camper area provides marked pitches of around 35 square metres, with a shade canopy, 6-amp electricity, drinking water and a point for emptying grey water and cassette toilets. Basic Wi-Fi is included, and public toilets on site are listed from 09:00 to 20:00. The area does not have showers, so guests should plan for that before booking. Video surveillance, waste sorting, a picnic zone and a nearby children’s playground add practical amenities. Dogs are welcome according to the operator, but keep pets under control and follow the shared-space rules.

The standard stay runs from 16:00 until 16:00 the following day. The operator says an earlier arrival may be possible if a place is free, but the departure deadline remains 16:00 unless an extension is agreed. Guests may enter and leave the area during the reserved period, and digital access is used at the barrier. A reservation can be made in advance through TripStop; the operator also says visitors can scan the entrance QR code and register in a browser without installing an app. Keep the booking and payment confirmation available on your phone.

Current operator pricing lists €28 per 24 hours in low season and €36 per 24 hours in high season, public holidays and specified long weekends. Verify the live rate before arrival because seasonal periods and holiday definitions affect the amount. The area is regulated and booking/payment is part of the stay; do not treat it as an informal free car park or assume an ordinary car-parking ticket includes overnight use. Availability can be limited, especially during busy travel periods. Reserve ahead if arrival timing is fixed, and use the operator’s contact/help channel for problems with the barrier or payment.

Can Rodes forms part of a larger public space opened in 2025. The complex includes general parking for cars, a designated motorhome section, green space, dog exercise areas and a small municipal recycling facility. The public opening report counted 144 car spaces and 44 motorhome spaces, of which 15 were allocated to rotating stays and the others to longer-term storage. These areas serve different purposes: short-stay visitors should use the AX-managed marked plots, while the monthly-storage spaces are allocated under separate rules. The neighbouring dog areas and recreation zone can be used independently of an overnight booking, subject to posted rules.

The central Santa Coloma location makes Can Rodes useful for visitors who want to leave a large vehicle safely and explore on foot. The operator describes the centre as around a 15-minute walk along a pedestrian route, and local buses stop nearby for connections across Andorra. The river promenade provides a pleasant route toward town, while shops, restaurants and services are accessible in the surrounding neighbourhood. Bus fares and routes can change, so check current stops and schedules. The nearby general parking area is also used by local drivers; follow the signs to avoid entering a monthly-storage or restricted section by mistake.

The municipal complex has facilities beyond the camper plots. Reports describe a pipican and several dog recreation areas, a community rest zone, a small recycling point and multipurpose space for events. A playground is listed near the camper area, and the picnic zone makes it possible to take a break outside the vehicle. These public features are distinct from the paid overnight stay, and their opening/access rules may differ from the operator’s barrier-controlled camper area. Check signage before using any restricted section and avoid leaving waste or equipment outside your marked pitch.

Can Rodes is a practical overnight stop for a city visit, a transit night or a base from which to explore Andorra la Vella and Santa Coloma. The regulated format provides water, power, waste disposal and controlled access without the wider facilities of a full campsite. The absence of showers is the main service limitation, and the daily 16:00 turnover should shape arrival and departure plans. Confirm rates, pitch availability, maximum vehicle dimensions, electricity needs and current access instructions before travelling. Do not overnight elsewhere in Andorra unless the location is explicitly authorised for that use.

Use the operator’s current booking information for the camper area, and consult municipal signage for adjacent public parking and dog/recreation facilities. Check that the booking is for short-stay rotation rather than monthly vehicle storage; these spaces share the broader Can Rodes complex but are managed under different arrangements. Arrive with enough time to complete digital registration, choose the assigned pitch and connect utilities safely. With those basics planned, the site provides a convenient urban base close to the river walk, local bus routes and the commercial streets of the capital.
