Tobotronc is Naturland’s alpine slide in the La Rabassa forest above Sant Julià de Lòria, operating from the park’s Cota 1600 sector. Naturland describes its 5.3-kilometre circuit as the longest alpine slide in the world, and the experience combines a seated ascent from 1,600 metres to the upper sector with a controlled descent through the forest. It is best suited to visitors who want a single signature thrill rather than a passive sightseeing stop. The decisive limitations are practical: Tobotronc does not have a standalone ticket, it follows Naturland’s seasonal operating calendar, and participants must meet age, height, weight and health rules. Anyone planning a visit mainly for this ride should therefore check the date-specific activity status before travelling up the Rabassa road.

The basic experience is more substantial than a short fairground slide. Riders board a two-seat sled at Cota 1600 for the climb toward Cota 2000, then use the sled’s controls to regulate speed during the descent. Naturland gives an approximate complete-circuit time of about 20 minutes on its activity page, while its 2026 specific conditions describe the ride as approximately 25 minutes. That small discrepancy is a good reminder that loading, operating conditions and the day’s flow can affect the total time. The route runs through La Rabassa, the wooded highland area that gives Naturland much of its mountain character, so the ride is as much about the long forest passage and elevation change as it is about the descent itself.

Participation rules matter before buying tickets. Naturland states that children must be at least 1.20 metres tall and that those up to 13 years old must ride with an adult over 18. From age 14, participants may access the activity alone. The operator also sets a maximum combined weight of 160 kilograms per sled. Its detailed contracting conditions add a minimum age of seven and require closed, tied footwear. These are safety conditions rather than suggestions, so families with younger children or borderline height requirements should not assume that an exception will be made at the platform.

There are also explicit health restrictions. Naturland says pregnant visitors cannot use the installation and asks people with certain cardiovascular, balance, vertigo, recent back, neck or shoulder injuries, coagulation problems, or conditions that could impair safe reaction to refrain or seek staff advice. Alcohol, drugs or medication that affects judgment, balance or reaction are also incompatible with the ride. Visitors with reduced mobility may be able to make the descent under a specific protocol: the operator requires two adult companions, vehicle access to Cota 2000 and staff coordination, and the participant completes the downhill section rather than the full ascent-and-descent circuit. Because the procedure is operationally specific, contacting Naturland in advance is sensible.

Tobotronc is bundled into Naturland’s Adventure products rather than sold on its own. The official FAQ explicitly says there is no Tobotronc-only ticket. At the time of this check, the standard Aventura ticket included one Tobotronc trip plus several other Cota 1600 activities and an autoguided Cota 2000 route. Published 2026 prices showed an adult advance-purchase price of €42 and a walk-up price of €45, with junior prices of €37 and €40; the Aventura Plus product cost more and added further activities. Those prices are volatile and date-sensitive, so the useful planning point is the structure rather than the number: budget for a multi-activity Naturland ticket even if Tobotronc is your main objective.

The attraction’s schedule is strongly seasonal. Naturland’s 2026 calendar shows both Cota 1600 and Cota 2000 open every day from 27 June to 6 September, then a reduced autumn pattern from 11 September. During the first autumn period, Cota 2000 operates Wednesday to Sunday, while Cota 1600 is scheduled primarily on weekends, with both sectors listed from 10:00 to 18:00 on those weekend days. The separate daily activity-status page was showing Tobotronc as open when checked, creating a potential conflict with the generic seasonal timetable. For this reason, travellers should treat the calendar as the planning framework but verify the daily status immediately before departure.

Getting there is straightforward by private vehicle but the location is not in the centre of Sant Julià de Lòria. Naturland gives its main address as Carretera de la Rabassa, kilometre 8, AD600 Sant Julià de Lòria, and says Cota 1600 is roughly a ten-minute drive from the nearest village under normal conditions. Free parking for cars and motorcycles is available at both Cota 1600 and Cota 2000. Public transport is not presented by the operator as the default access method, so visitors without a vehicle should confirm current transfer options rather than assume an urban bus reaches the activity entrance.

A Tobotronc visit is easiest to plan as part of a half-day or full-day at Naturland rather than as a tightly timed isolated ride. The ticket structure encourages combining it with activities such as Airtrekk, tubbing, archery or the other experiences available in the Cota 1600 sector, while the upper sector has its own nature and outdoor offer. Families should check which activities match each child’s age and height before paying, because the fact that a ticket includes an attraction does not mean every person in the group can use it.

The best reason to choose Tobotronc is that it offers a long, structured mountain ride with a clear sense of place in La Rabassa rather than a generic amusement-park circuit. The main trade-off is operational: weather, seasonal opening, daily status and safety restrictions can all determine whether the ride is available on a particular date. Visitors who arrive with those constraints understood are much more likely to use their Naturland ticket efficiently. If Tobotronc is the non-negotiable part of the day, confirm the activity-status page first, book the appropriate Adventure ticket, and leave enough time for the rest of the park rather than scheduling the trip around a single 20-minute circuit.
