Hotel Sucarà is a three-star, family-run hotel in La Cortinada, a village in the Ordino valley in northern Andorra. Its straightforward rooms, on-site restaurant, bar, terrace and free parking make it a practical base for travellers exploring the valley or reaching nearby ski areas by road. The current hotel has 15 rooms and lists check-in from 16:00 to 23:30, with checkout by 11:00; advance contact is required to arrange arrival instructions. It is distinct from the nearby Mu Hotel & Spa: the two properties sit along Avinguda de la Cortinada but have separate operators, facilities and booking conditions.

La Cortinada lies on the CG-3, north of Ordino, where the road continues toward Llorts and the Ordino-Arcalís ski area. Hotel Sucarà’s own address is 26 Avinguda de la Cortinada, while some tourism and map entries retain the older “Carretera General, s/n” form. Those descriptions identify the same village property rather than two separate hotels. The location puts guests within a short walk of the Romanesque church of Sant Martí de la Cortinada and close to the Ordino valley’s cultural and outdoor sites. Ski areas are not at the hotel door: Grandvalira and Pal-Arinsal require road transfers, and Ordino-Arcalís lies farther up the valley.

The hotel offers double, twin, triple, quadruple and family room categories. Current booking material lists 15 rooms, with private bathrooms, heating, television and straightforward furnishings; many rooms are described as having mountain views. The operator’s current page also highlights free parking, restaurant, terrace, bar and lounge. Room layouts vary, so check the exact bed configuration and whether an extra bed or cot is possible for the selected rate. The property is a conventional hotel rather than a self-catering apartment: no guest kitchen is established in its room descriptions. Travellers who need cooking facilities should look at apartment properties separately.

The restaurant gives the hotel a role beyond overnight lodging. The operator says guests can eat regional cuisine with views toward the countryside, and the establishment includes a terrace, snack bar and lounge. Tripadvisor’s current restaurant listing identifies Spanish cooking, vegetarian options, breakfast, lunch, dinner and drinks. Its weekly schedule shows service from 08:00 to 23:30 Tuesday through Sunday, with Monday closed. That is the restaurant’s public schedule, not the reception’s check-in period. Since the operator does not publish detailed service times on its own current site, confirm kitchen cut-off, menu availability and walk-in seating directly before planning a late meal. The listed closing time should not be assumed to mean that the kitchen takes orders until 23:30.

Reception and arrival require advance planning. Hotels.com/Expedia gives daily reception hours of 16:00–23:30 and says guests should contact the property at least 72 hours before arrival to arrange check-in instructions; guests arriving after 23:00 are asked to contact it in advance. Google Hotels separately lists a 24-hour front desk, which conflicts with the detailed booking instructions and limited-hours notice. Hotel operators’ instructions and the reservation-specific arrival details should take priority over the broad Google amenity label. Google says check-in is from 14:00 and checkout at 12:00, but Hotels.com and Expedia list check-in from 16:00 to 23:30 and checkout by 11:00; Grandvalira likewise lists 16:00–23:00 and checkout by 11:00. Confirm the exact terms for the selected booking.

Breakfast may be included or charged separately depending on the reservation. Google lists breakfast among the amenities, while Hotels.com and Expedia describe continental breakfast as an optional paid extra. The rate plan therefore determines what is included; do not assume every room booking contains a meal. The hotel also accepts pets according to current travel listings, generally with an added nightly charge and possible deposit. Pet policies, fees and room restrictions should be checked with the hotel before arrival. Free onsite parking is described by the operator and several travel listings, although availability can vary during busy ski periods.

For winter trips, the hotel is close enough to serve as a road base for Ordino-Arcalís, Arinsal and Pal sectors, but the transfer differs for each. Grandvalira’s accommodation directory gives approximate distances of five kilometres to the La Massana cable car for Pal, nine kilometres to Arinsal and eleven kilometres to Ordino-Arcalís. These figures are route estimates, not a shuttle promise. Ask the property about current transport options, road conditions and parking before choosing a ski area. In summer, the Ordino valley supports walking, cycling and visits to historic sites; trail access and weather should still be verified independently.

Hotel Sucarà is most appropriate for visitors who want simple hotel accommodation, an on-site restaurant and an established base in La Cortinada rather than a wellness resort or slopeside address. Its strongest conveniences are the central valley location, free parking, mountain-facing room options and restaurant/terrace setting. The main practical cautions are the limited reception window, the 72-hour check-in contact request, different checkout times across listings, and possible extra costs for breakfast or pets. Confirm the booked room’s layout, meal inclusion, pet terms and arrival time directly. That avoids confusion with neighbouring hotels and lets the property serve as a reliable point for exploring the Ordino valley by day and returning for meals or rest in the village.
