Museum Of Traditions Sarandë
Description
The Museum of Traditions displays the cultural legacy of Saranda and is housed in the former Customs House in front of the marina. It is an excellent spot to understand about the evolution of Saranda throughout the years. The museum consists of several rooms spread over two floors.
A part is devoted to displaying musical instruments, traditional attire, carpets, and weaving looms. There are also some amazing images from the Soviet period that reflect the recent transformations of the city.
Edward Lear, a British poet and artist from the 19th century, drew a sketch of Sarand’s ancient stone watchtowers for the collection.
