Shopping in Tay Ninh

With a few stores, Tay Ninh is not really a place to do shopping in. There used to be a well-known duty-free retail centre near the Moc Bai border crossing, but it has ceased operations. Some of the Tay Ninh delicacies are worth buying and taking home as souvenirs.

Chilli Salts (Muối Ớt). Tay Ninh is famous for its unique chili salts. Dried chilli peppers are crushed into powder and mixed with salt and other spices; voila! Chilli salts are formed. It’s quite addictive sprinkling them on fruits or snacks, or even using as dipping sauce because they are hot and salty. Almost everywhere along the approach routes out of town you can find them in Tay Ninh.

Long Hoa Market (several kilometres S of the Cao Dai See complex). 05:00-18:00. Long Hoa Market sells food, clothing, accessories and anything else that you would typically come across in a market.
