Food & Restaurants in Tay Ninh
When night falls, Tay Ninh settles to sleep. The town is quiet by 9:00pm. However, in Cau Quan bridge area (a few minutes’ walk from Tay Ninh roundabout), there are still lots of activities going on till very late at night. In the evening, this region comes alive with shops displaying their goods under bright lights. Restaurants are crowded with people enjoying a meal or two within limits of space. There is quite a number of customers around drink and snack stands. This locality boasts an abundance of food options. Just sit down along the walkway near the creek and watch as events unfold before your eyes
- Cánh Ký Noodle House, 109 Tran Hung Dao. Morning till noon. Family-owned for more than 20 years. This noodle house is well-known to locals. Famous for their won ton noodle soups.
- Phở Mai, 627 Cach Mang Thang 8 (On the main street). All day. A decent place to find a good bowl of phở (beef noodle soup). Clean place. Fast service. USD2 (30,000 dong).
- Tùng Ký Noodle, Nguyen Thai Hoc St (Near the corner of Hoang Le Kha St). Small, but busy noodle house serving delicious won ton noodles.
Throughout the year, Tay Ninh is characterized by hot and humid weather. Luckily, it has many places where people can buy cold drinks to alleviate the heat. Simply drive around, and you will find that each road hosts more than ten coffee stalls. In this neighborhood, there are several such establishments and anyone can quickly identify an interesting spot for hanging out; however some of them are worth mentioning:
- Cafe Bang Lang, 56 Nguyen Chi Thanh (Near town centre). There is a large open room with plenty of seating. Because of its proximity to all government and corporate facilities, this area can be packed with bureaucrats and office workers in the early morning.
- Cafe Thao Wind, 196 Vo Thi Sau. This location provides enough of tropical greenery and foggy vapours to soothe the soul. Swaying baskets of tropical plants make a natural canopy overhead, and trickling water fountains keep the air cool. A good location to unwind and kill time.
