Visitors should therefore use the signed bathing area, arrive during daytime and confirm local conditions rather than planning around an old itinerary that placed the beach under Hue.

The current administrative identity is important. Older information usually describes My Thuy as being in Hai An commune, Hai Lang district. After the 2025 administrative reorganization, local government sources show My Thuy commune as the current authority, and the provincial tourism portal now lists the beach under Xa My Thuy, Quang Tri Province. That makes a Quang Tri route the accurate choice for this page. The old Hai An name remains useful only as historical context when comparing maps or older accommodation listings.

Quang Tri tourism material describes a long, gently sloping coast with pale sand, clear water in favorable conditions and a comparatively undeveloped setting.
