Vietnam Military History Museum

The Vietnam Military History Museum, which was established in 1956, is one of Vietnam’s seven national museums and consists of a collection of structures depicting different periods of Vietnamese military history. The complex also encompasses the Flag Tower of Hanoi, one of the capital’s most recognizable landmarks.

In addition, the museum displays decommissioned, captured, or destroyed military equipment and vehicles used by the French, the Viet Minh, North Vietnam, South Vietnam, and the United States in the First and Second Indochina Wars. This exhibit has earned the moniker “The Garden of Toys” due to its proximity to the Hanoi Flag Tower. There is a Highlands Coffee chain store where tourists may rest as well as souvenir stores where they can peruse a variety of merchandise.
