Uu Dam (Udumbara) is a Sanskrit phrase that means “holy flower descending from heaven to earth.” Buddhist scriptures indicate that Udumbara are so uncommon that they only blossom once every three millennium. The blossoming of Udumbara signifies the advent of the Buddha to the world. After absorbing the essence of heaven and earth for many eons, Udumbara blossom peacefully, a pure and priceless sign of a prosperous new era.
