Description

Dai Nam Van Hien is a tourist complex in the Vietnamese province of Bnh Duong. Dai Nam Tourist – Cultural – Historical Zone, which opened on September 11, 2008, features Vietnam’s first safari and the largest artificial sea in Southeast Asia, and is intended to be the country’s largest park and tourist attraction by 2010.

Dai Nam Sea is 21.6 hectares in size, with a total sea surface area of 20,000 square meters and a 1.4-kilometer-long coast. The artificial sea contains beaches and artificial waves up to 1.6m high; it is the largest wave pool in Vietnam and was built and constructed by Murphys Waves Ltd, a well-known Scottish company.

The largest tourism facility began building about 1999 on a 450-hectare (1,100-acre) parcel of land around 40 kilometers from Ho Chi Minh City. The Dai Nam Van Hien Temple, an entertainment site, a zoo, a retail center, hotels, and gastronomy venues have all been added to the Paradise. The 12.5-hectare outdoor zoo is part of the Lac Canh Dai Nam Van Hien Entertainment Complex, which spans 450 acres. The park is home to a variety of animals, including rhinos, white lions, tigers, elephants, bears, ostriches, chamois, zebras, gnus, squirrel-monkeys, and foxes, many of which are not commonly found in Vietnam.

Dai Nam Park includes a retail mall, a hotel, a movie theater, a theme park, a campsite, a water park, a zoo, rides, and various temples. Dai Nam cost around VND 3,000 billion to build. The 12.5-hectare outdoor zoo is part of the 450-hectare Lac Canh Van Hien.

Dai Nam Van Hien has a 5,000-square-meter (54,000-square-foot) temple, a duplicate of Huem’s main temple, a lotus-shaped flag tower, and a 13.5-kilometer wall. Outside the compound sits Bao Son, Vietnam’s largest man-made mountain at 63 meters tall and 250 meters long. The five peaks and the Bao Thap Tower are a scaled-down replica of the central coast’s Ngu Hanh Son Mountain. Inside Bao Thap Tower, there are nine theme-based shrines, one on each floor, to honor the country’s founders and significant personalities in Vietnamese history, such as Ho Chi Minh, Tran Hung Dao, and the Trng Sisters Hai Ba Trung, who lived from 12 to 43 AD.

Rides including the roller coaster on square rails, electric car racing, the water plume ride, and the swing across the waterfall are comparable to those seen at Dam Sen, Suoi Tien, and Nha Trang’s Vinpearland, but on a bigger size. Dai Nam Van Hien also has a sophisticated 4D cinema and an adjacent “Snow World” theme park. The property also features Vietnam’s first zoo, where visitors can get up close and personal with formerly untamed creatures. The 76 species of birds, reptiles, and mammals at the 12.5-hectare (31-acre) zoo include several unusual creatures such as white peacocks, white tigers, and white hippos.
