Ba Dong Beach

Ba Dong Beach is a famous scenic spot and tourist destination of Tra Vinh in Truong Long Hoa commune, Duyen Hai district. Ba Dong beach has a pristine beauty with sand dunes stretching by the ocean with the wind, known as the most beautiful beach in Tra Vinh. Come here, you enjoy swimming, enjoying fresh seafood, and enjoying the cool fresh air.

About 60km from the center of Tra Vinh city, the romantic Ba Dong beach has been discovered by the French, built into a bathing and resort place since the early twentieth century and named Nha Mat Beach.

The East Sea along the banks of the Mekong Delta provinces is an alluvial sea caused by many large and small estuaries, so most of them are mudflats and clear water. In particular, Ba Dong Sea is a rare area in the Southwest that is generously endowed by nature for a sand beach more than 10 km long from Nha Mat hamlet to Con Egg hamlet.

Due to the gentle slope, at low tide, the sand beach exposes hundreds of meters, from the shore down to the water’s edge. Also because it is located in the alluvial sea area, Ba Dong sand beach is not white or shiny yellow, the water of Ba Dong sea cannot be as blue as with central beaches. However, along the East Coast, from Go Cong to Ca Mau, Ba Dong has beautiful sand beaches, the sea is quite clear, especially in the months after the Lunar New Year, the waves are calm, forming a popular sea resort.

Visitors to Ba Dong beach not only relax, swim in the clear blue sea and roll on the white sand, but also have fun riding jet skis on the waves safely, not worrying about being swept away by the waves like many other beaches.

Under the canopy of green casuarina forest with unspoiled beauty, visitors can lie in hammocks swaying and relaxing, listening to the sound of the waves mixed with the sound of leaves ringing in the wind like an endless melodious, smooth music between the fresh, cool and charming space of the forest on one side and the sea on the other.

From Ba Dong, visitors can visit many other famous landmarks such as Cung Hou sea gate (bordering Tien Giang), Dinh An gate (bordering Soc Trang) and admire the ancient architectural beauty of some churches that have been built since the French colonial period, such as Giong Rang Church, Phuoc Hao Church.
