Description

The 1900 Nightclub is located in the heart of Hanoi’s Old Quarter, on the French-named Géraud Street (currently T Hin Street). The club was built using the structure of the one-hundred-year-old Quang Lac Theatre. During the early decades of the 20th century, this was one of the best venues for traditional arts performances such as music and drama. At that time, the theater exemplified the Vietnamese cultural identity. After numerous war and postwar years, the Quang Lac theatre has become deteriorated, ruined, and dormant for an extended period of time.

People with a great deal of interest for the arts found 1900 Le Théatre more than a century later. The blend of traditional culture and modern hot-trend vintage style is the primary architectural and interior design concept of the nightclub, setting it apart from all other clubs in the world. People can be impressed by the huge space and the familiarity of the furniture when they visit the location. With the power poles and street-name boards, guests will feel as though they are traveling through Hanoi in the past. The walls are adorned with traditional and historical paintings and materials, recreating Hanoi from old recollections and creating an ambiance more reminiscent of a theater than a nightclub.

1900 Le Théatre, on the other hand, offers modern services, including beer, soda, whiskey, vodka, and even champagne. Every night, a variety of musical genres are performed, mainly dance music, which makes the environment quite lively for all of the attendees. In addition, with state-of-the-art sound and visual systems, the venue organizes a special monthly event that attracts roughly 800 people every night and features a number of internationally renowned guest performers.

1900 Le Théatre is presently one of the top nightlife destinations in Vietnam. Not only are locals familiar with it, but so are foreign tourists. Numerous travelers recommend the club as a must-visit location in Hanoi.
