The key limitation is location: it is outside Ho Chi Minh City proper and requires either a substantial road transfer or a prearranged boat option.

The course’s own information site states that it was designed by Ronald W. Fream of Golf Plan, covers about 785,197 square metres and measures 7,295 yards. Its two nines are named Sun and Moon, each par 36. The Sun Course is listed at 3,558 yards and the Moon Course at 3,737. The site also describes the layout as a private members’ course, although current booking platforms sell visitor tee times, so travelers should reserve rather than assume casual walk-in access.

Dai Phuoc Island is the defining part of the experience. The course is surrounded by waterways in the Đồng Nai River system, giving the property a more secluded atmosphere than urban courses. Current course descriptions emphasize basin-style fairways and strategic bunkering rather than dramatic mountain elevation. Water and the island environment influence both scenery and strategy, and the relative openness can make wind more noticeable.

The old and new names can cause confusion during booking. Because the club sits on an island, transfer logistics can be affected by weather and by the operating schedule of any arranged boat. Golfers using a speedboat should verify the return departure as carefully as the outbound trip; missing the planned boat can turn a straightforward round into a much longer road journey. Carrying essential medication, sun protection and a small amount of spare time is sensible when the course is separated from the city by more than distance alone.
