Song Be Golf Resort in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

Song Be Golf Resort is a historic 27-hole club with Palm, Lotus and Desert nines, full-service facilities and active 2026 tee-time packages.

Song Be Golf Resort is a long-established 27-hole golf facility at 77 Bình Dương Boulevard in Lái Thiêu, an area that is now within the expanded Ho Chi Minh City. Opened in 1994, it is widely documented as Vietnam’s first international-standard golf course. The resort is best suited to golfers who want a mature, traditional club experience with several nine-hole combinations rather than a single fixed 18-hole layout. Its main tradeoff is location: despite the current Ho Chi Minh City administrative address, it remains well north of the old central-city core and should be planned as a dedicated golf outing.

The course is divided into three nine-hole sections called Palm, Lotus and Desert, each par 36. Current booking information gives back-tee lengths of 3,006 yards for Palm, 3,223 for Lotus and 3,156 for Desert. The different nines allow the club to create varied 18-hole combinations and also explain why 27-hole or even 36-hole packages appear in current booking systems. Golfers who have time for more than one round can experience the property in a different sequence rather than repeating exactly the same 18 holes.

The three sections have different visual and strategic characters. Palm and Lotus reflect the greener, more established landscape associated with the original resort, while the Desert nine adds a more bunker-heavy, exposed style. Current booking descriptions emphasize that the layouts are suitable for both newer golfers and experienced players, but that does not mean every hole is easy. Water, sand and tropical vegetation still demand positional play, and visiting golfers should choose tees that match their normal driving distance.

Song Be has more supporting infrastructure than many stand-alone courses. GOVIGO’s current club profile lists a driving range, pro shop, restaurant, lessons, rental clubs, rental shoes and caddies. The same source says carts and caddies are included by default in its packages. This matters for international travelers because the course can be played without bringing every piece of equipment from home, although preferred club specifications should be confirmed before relying on rentals.

Current 2026 pricing varies by day, tee time and residency category. For the April–September period, GOVIGO lists weekday 18-hole packages around 2.43 million VND for domestic-eligible golfers and 2.8 million VND for inbound golfers, including a meal, shared cart and caddie fee. Weekend and public-holiday packages are higher, with early tee times carrying a premium. The source already publishes a different tariff for October–December 2026, illustrating why old price lists should not be copied forward.

Booking windows are also structured. Current weekday plans show morning starts around 06:00–09:04 and another window around 10:50–13:00. Weekend plans split early-morning and late-morning or midday slots. These are tee-time windows rather than general clubhouse opening hours, so the most accurate advice is to reserve the round first and organize transport around the confirmed start time. Prime weekend times can fill quickly.

For most golfers, an 18-hole visit will consume at least half a day. Allow around four to five hours for play plus check-in, changing and the road journey. The current Song Be LinkedIn page lists the address as 77 Bình Dương Boulevard, Lái Thiêu Ward, Ho Chi Minh City, reflecting the post-merger administrative structure. Many golf websites still say Bình Dương or Thuận An because those were the familiar pre-2025 labels. They are referring to the same course.

The club’s longevity is part of its appeal. A course operating since 1994 has a different feel from many newer resort developments, and the mature landscape is one reason returning players continue to use it. Current 2026 booking reviews on GOVIGO still describe active play, and the club promoted holiday tee times during 2026, providing strong evidence that this is not merely a legacy listing.

Accessibility beyond standard golf-cart use is not documented in enough detail to make a strong claim. Cart transport reduces the amount of walking but does not confirm accessible entrances, locker facilities or adapted playing arrangements. Anyone with specific mobility requirements should contact the club or booking agent before paying.

Song Be Golf Resort is therefore a strong choice for golfers who value history, multiple nine-hole combinations and a full-service club environment. It is less suitable for travelers trying to fit golf into a short central-city sightseeing day. Reserve the tee time, check which nine-hole combination is scheduled, allow generous road-transfer time and confirm current pricing. With that planning, the course offers a well-established contrast to the newer golf resorts around southern Vietnam.

Another advantage for repeat visitors is the ability to play different combinations of the three nines. A golfer returning on another day may experience a substantially different 18-hole sequence even at the same club. That flexibility is useful for multi-round trips, but it also means score comparisons make most sense when you record exactly which Palm, Lotus or Desert combination you played. For visitors playing more than once, confirming the scheduled nine-hole combination before each round also makes it easier to compare experiences and avoid assuming every booking uses the same routing.
