Intense Lounge in Hanoi, Vietnam

Intense Lounge at 14 TT2A, lane 622 Minh Khai remains active in 2026, with current AMIS Coffee & Cocktail branding tied to the same contacts.

Intense Lounge is the legacy Travel S Helper identity for a cocktail-focused bar and cafe at 14 TT2A, lane 622 Minh Khai in Hanoi’s Hai Ba Trung district. Fresh 2026 research supports treating the venue as active, but its current public naming is messy rather than clean. A July 2026 Mytour nightlife guide still calls it Intense Lounge at the exact legacy address, while current business directories use the name AMIS Coffee & Cocktail for the same address and preserve the same mobile number, the same email address intense.lounge@gmail.com and the same Facebook URL, Intensehanoi. The safest editorial approach is therefore to keep the original Intense Lounge entity while explaining that visitors may now encounter AMIS branding at the premises.

The address sits in the Vinh Tuy and Minh Khai area of Hai Ba Trung, east of central Hanoi and close to the Times City side of the district. It is not an Old Quarter bar that most travelers will simply discover on foot. Taxi or ride-hailing is the easiest option from Hoan Kiem, the French Quarter or West Lake. Visitors staying around Times City, Minh Khai or Vinh Tuy may find the trip much shorter. The property is inside a lane rather than on Hanoi’s most obvious nightlife streets, so saving the exact address before leaving is more useful than relying on street visibility.

Mytour’s page, last updated on 15 July 2026, describes Intense Lounge as a Hai Ba Trung bar with warm brown-and-cream décor, cocktails and lively music. It also says live music appears on weekends and lists daily operating hours of 07:00–02:00. Because that page is current and uses the exact legacy address, it is strong evidence that the place is still being promoted as Intense Lounge in 2026. At the same time, Mytour is a travel-content platform rather than the operator itself, so event details such as weekend performances should be confirmed before making a special trip.

The strongest evidence for the rebranding or alias issue comes from AMIS Coffee & Cocktail listings. Viet-Biz currently places AMIS at exactly 14 TT2A, lane 622 Minh Khai and lists two telephone numbers, including 098 979 88 66, the same mobile number shown by Intense Lounge’s claimed Tripadvisor profile. Viet-Biz also gives the email intense.lounge@gmail.com and links to a Facebook profile. Wanderlog independently lists AMIS Coffee & Cocktail at the same address and links its website to https://www.facebook.com/Intensehanoi. That continuity of address, phone, email and social identity is strong evidence that the current AMIS listing is connected to the older Intense Lounge business rather than being an unrelated tenant.

The naming history is even more complicated because Foody and ShopeeFood continue to list the same premises as Chilly Station – Coffee & Cocktail. Foody’s page includes an old 2018 review whose title explicitly says “Intense Lounge - Coffee & Cocktails,” while the address remains 14TT2A, lane 622 Minh Khai. This suggests a long-running pattern of name changes or directory overlap at the same cocktail-cafe operation. The sources do not document a formal timeline clearly enough to say exactly when Intense became Chilly Station or AMIS, or whether those names were used simultaneously. Travel S Helper should therefore describe the continuity without inventing a precise corporate rebranding history.

Opening hours also conflict slightly. Mytour’s July 2026 guide and current AMIS/Viet-Biz listings show 07:00–02:00 daily. Tripadvisor’s claimed Intense Lounge profile instead shows 07:00–23:45 every day. Because two fresh sources tied to the current address and AMIS identity support the later closing time, this record uses 07:00–02:00 while explicitly noting the disagreement. Travelers planning a late-night visit should confirm directly, especially after midnight.

The current venue appears to combine cafe and bar functions rather than operating only as a late-night club. Tripadvisor classifies Intense Lounge across bar, cafe, pub, international and Vietnamese categories and lists breakfast, lunch, dinner, after-hours and drinks. AMIS directories classify the venue as a cafe and cocktail bar. Mytour emphasizes cocktails and music. Taken together, the sensible expectation is an all-day coffee-and-drinks venue that becomes more bar-like later, not a large dance club with a formal entry policy.

Historical reviews help with atmosphere but should not be presented as current guarantees. Older Google-derived reviews on Wanderlog mention friendly staff, cocktails, local rice wine and live music at the weekend, while Tripadvisor reviews from 2018–2019 describe cocktails and live music. These observations are useful because they match the venue concept across sources, but they are too old to prove current performers, prices or service quality. Current menu prices are also inconsistent: Mytour lists a very broad 50,000–2,900,000 VND reference range, and Foody shows a similarly wide range. Those numbers are too coarse for a reliable travel guide. Visitors should check the current menu before ordering expensive spirits or bottles.

A normal visit could last one to three hours depending on whether the goal is coffee, cocktails, a social evening or live music. That is an editorial estimate rather than an operator recommendation. The venue’s long listed opening window means travelers can use it differently from a typical after-dark bar: an afternoon drink, an early-evening cocktail or a longer night session are all plausible. If live music is important, verify the schedule rather than assuming every weekend has a performance.

Accessibility is not documented well enough for a confident claim. The current sources do not describe step-free entry, accessible toilets or wheelchair circulation. Street parking is listed by Tripadvisor, but that should not be interpreted as a guarantee of easy car parking in the lane. Travelers with mobility requirements should call the venue before going.

Intense Lounge can therefore return to ready status, but the page should be transparent about the unusual name continuity. The physical place at 14 TT2A, lane 622 Minh Khai is well supported, and the legacy Intense identity remains active in a claimed Tripadvisor listing and a 2026 Mytour guide. At the same time, current directory data strongly ties the same phone, email and Facebook identity to AMIS Coffee & Cocktail. Visitors should be prepared to see either name and should confirm late-night hours directly.
