Beaches in Con Dao
The Côn Đảo islands are home to some of the region’s most pristine beaches if you prefer spending time lounging on a sandy beachfront. The majority of the shoreline is undeveloped, with palm palms towering over postcard-perfect expanses of white sand.
- An Hai Beach is the more picturesque and less isolated of the two city beaches. It is situated south (to the right) of the municipal boat dock. Long stretches of white sand accompanied by calm waves. Several hotels surround the northern end of the beach; nevertheless, the beach runs for a considerable distance to the south, so you will be able to find privacy if you so desire.
- Lo Voi Beach is the northernmost of the town’s two beaches. Any hotel claiming to be located on this beach is actually located in the northern area of town, as no hotels border it directly.
- Dat Doc Beach is where Six Senses Con Dao is located, far northwest of the main town. In the interest of resident guests’ privacy, access via the resort is restricted, and the only way to the beach is to climb across Elephant Mountain. The beach is lovely, with white sand and mountains in the background. Unlike the other beaches, the resort administration keeps it largely trash-free. Resort facilities are only available to visitors who have made reservations with the resort.
- Ong Dung Beach is to the north of town. To get here, pay an admission charge (including a snorkeling fee if you intend to snorkel); continue the road north beyond the park checkpoint; walk/climb 700 meters of stairs; and show your access price receipt to the ranger station. Be cautious about leaving your belongings unattended, as the monkeys may steal them.
- Dam Trau Beach – Dam Trau Beach, located near Co Ong Airport, is a lovely beach in the north of Con Dao. The beach can now maintain its natural beauty by providing fresh air, pure blue sea, soft yellow sand, and calm space. A magnificent bamboo forest, green pine tree, and tropical vegetation surround it. When you’re on the beach, there may be drink vendors or hammocks waiting to serve you, which will undoubtedly provide you with a sense of relaxation and refreshment. There is also a wide selection of seafood at extremely reasonable prices.
Bai Nhat Beach – Bai Nhat Beach is only accessible during the afternoon low tide. Every day from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m., you can visit the beach. Bai Nhat is a beautiful beach with white sand, blue ocean, calm waters, and stunning natural landscape. It is also regarded as the best site in Con Son, if not all of Vietnam, to watch the sunset.
