The St. Apostolic Peter and Pavel Temple in Sofia was built between July 12, 1929 and 1933. On April 1, 1934, it was lit up.
The temple is a three-nave, cross-docked basilica with three thrones. The Northern Throne is dedicated to St. Equinox Constantine and Elena, while the Southern Throne is dedicated to St. Patriarch Evtimiy.
The main temple’s construction was preceded by the erection of a minor chapel of the same name.
