In 18777, the Konditorei Schatz Patisserie was established. This old-established company in Getreidegasse number 3 is quite close to Mozart’s Birthplace and is one of Salzburg’s most lovely and tiniest patisseries. Its Gothic ceilings and unique decor are evocative of an ancient dolls’ house: densely packed tables, velvet-covered chairs, flowery wallpaper, and glass display cases filled with desserts, pies, and biscuits, with Mozart Amadeus Mozart providing gentle background music.
