  • Erlebniswelt Tauerngold: Tauerngold is an adventure park and museum focusing on the rich history and culture of Rauris gold mining. You could visit the original gold panning site, learn about the tools and techniques used by the miners and perhaps give gold panning a try. Beautiful views of the Rauris Valley and surrounding mountains abound from the observation tower and suspension bridge. From May to October, the Erlebniswelt Tauerngold is open to all ages.
  • Kitzlochklamm: Over millions of years, the Rauriser Ache River has shaped this amazing gorge. Walk along the wooden walkways and bridges crossing the tall, narrow canyon walls to admire the waterfalls, caverns and rock formations found there. The Pilgrims’ Chapel, a small church built in 1697, and the ancient hermitage and place of prayer, the Hermitage, are worth a visit. Kitzlochklamm is a must-visit from April to October for outdoor enthusiasts.
  • Skischule Maier Rauris: Operating a ski school and equipment rental business, Skischule Maier Rauris offers a range of programs and equipment for skiers of all ages and abilities. You can learn the basics of skiing, improve your skills or take a guided walk on the slopes. The store also rents skis, boots, helmets and other items. Located at the Rauriser Hochalmbahnen cable car station, Skischule Maier Rauris is open from December to April.
  • Rauris Krumltal – Valley Of Vultures: Traveling through the Rauris Krumltal, also known as the Vulture Valley, you will reach the home of the unique and endangered bearded vultures, found only in the Alps. Information boards and rangers can help you learn more about these amazing creatures; binoculars and telescopes allow you to see them up close. The views of the Krumltal valley, the Sonnblick glacier and the Hoher Sonnblick peak are also pleasant. For nature lovers, the trail offers a special experience and runs from June to September.
  • EMBACH: Renowned for its ancient architecture and culture, this small community. Discover the 12th century Embach church with its Gothic altar and frescoes; the Embach Museum, which honors the community’s history and heritage; and Embach Farm, a working farm offering guided tours and organic produce. From the Embach viewpoint you can also see the Rauris valley and the Pinzgau region as a whole.
