Rauris

Rauris is a town in Salzburg, Austria’s lovely Pinzgau area. Rauris boasts a 3,095 population. Market town Rauris has a rich past going back to the 12th century. First referenced at that period as “Rurise” The name derives from the Celtic word “roura,” meaning “mountain stream.” It speaks about the Rauriser Ache river across the valley.
