Nassfeld plans many activities throughout the season that enhance your experience in the world of mountains and lakes. The most prominent aspects are the following:
- Schlag das Ass: Held annually in January, Schlag das Ass — Beat the Pro — is the longest ski race in the world. The race consists of 82 gates and a steep fall of 6,131 metres, covering a distance of 25.6 kilometres. All those who want to challenge their skills as well as professional skiers – usually an Olympic medalist or former World Cup champion – are invited to compete in the race. Since entry money is given to a social project, the race is also a charitable event.
- Nassfeld Ski & Golf Trophy: The Nassfeld Ski & Golf Trophy is a unique one-day tournament that combines golf and skiing. Every year in April, this event is held when the snow and vegetation are at their best. Competitors must participate in a 9-hole golf event on the green and a giant slalom race on the hills. Professionals and amateurs can participate in this event, which offers many fun activities and attractive prizes.
- Nassfeld Full Metal Mountain: Combining heavy metal music with winter sports, Nassfeld Full Metal Mountain is a music festival that celebrates every year in March honoring some of the most talented metal bands and musicians from around the world. The celebration also offers a wide range of events such as ice climbing, ice biking, beer sampling, and ice skating. Winter fans and metal enthusiasts are a must-go to the festival.
