Year after year, Wien Mitte The Mall is recognized as one of the top performers in the independent Shopping Center Performance Report by Standort+Markt. It has been named Vienna’s Best Shopping Center and was even awarded as Austria’s Best Shopping Center in 2017.

From its inception, the air-rights development above Wien Mitte Station was designed to be more than just a station. With its two underground and five suburban railway lines, the CAT, and a daily influx of over 100,000 passengers, it was clear that this development had a greater purpose. The goal was to create an urban meeting place on an international scale by incorporating architectural designs with lighting installations and artistic accents. The complex received a total investment of 480 million euros. It spans across 150,000 m² of gross floor area, including 62,000 m² of office space spread over five levels, 30,000 m² of retail space, and approximately 500 parking spaces.

The groundbreaking ceremony for the center occurred in 2007, followed by the pre-opening in 2012. Finally, in April 2013, the center began operating at full capacity.
