Waidring Swimming Pool

The Waidring Swimming Pool is a 4,000 m² artificial lake with high-quality drinking water, located at the foot of the Steinplatte mountain in the Kitzbühel Alps. The lake is surrounded by a large sunbathing lawn and offers various attractions and activities for visitors of all ages. The lake is connected to a heated 25-meter swimming pool, a children’s splash pool, and a mega trampoline. The Waidring Swimming Pool is a great place to enjoy swimming and water fun in a natural and scenic setting. The lake has a constant fresh water supply and measures about 3.70 meters at its deepest point. The water temperature is around 21°C in the summer months, and the lake has a shallow shore with a large sandpit and a playground for children. The lake also has a play area with a water trampoline, a diving platform, and a slide. The heated swimming pool has a water temperature of 28 to 29°C and is ideal for swimming laps or relaxing in the whirlpool. The children’s splash pool has a water temperature of 32°C and has a slide, a mushroom fountain, and a water snake for entertainment. The mega trampoline is a highlight for the adventurous, who can jump up to 9 meters high and perform acrobatic tricks.

The Waidring Swimming Pool also offers a variety of sports and leisure options for visitors who want to stay active or have fun with their friends and family. The Waidring Swimming Pool is located in the village of Waidring, about 25 kilometers from the town of Kitzbühel. The easiest way to get there is by car, but there is a chargeable parking area for cars on the site. Alternatively, visitors can use the free hikers’ bus from the village center to the pool, which runs daily during the summer months. The bus stop is near the tourist office, and the journey takes about 10 minutes. The bus also stops at several other places along the way, such as the Gasthof Jägerwirt, the Pension Blaiken, or the Hotel Alpin. Another option to reach the pool is by train, as the nearest railway station is in St. Johann in Tirol, about 15 kilometers away. From there, visitors can take a regional bus to Waidring, and then change to the hikers’ bus to the pool.
