The Währinger Park is a park in Vienna’s 18th district, Währing.The General Währing Cemetery, which used to be here, was transformed into the current facility in 1923.
The park is today located in the Währing district’s northwestern corner, bounded by the streets Mollgasse, Gymnasiumstraße, Philippovichgasse, and Semperstraße.The park’s district boundary with the 19th district of Döbling runs at the park’s north-east end.The park has a total size of roughly 52,000 m2.
The park includes its own dog zone, and there is a children’s pool near the park’s western end.On the boundary with the neighborhood of Döbling, a parking garage was erected beneath the park’s surface.There is a skate park in the park.
