Next to the Laaerbergbad, on the southern slope of the Laaer Berg, lies the vast Volkspark Laaerberg, which was laid out as part of the southern Vienna woodland and meadow belt from 1932 and notably during the pool’s construction, until 1959.The enormous Volksparkteich is located in the center of the near-natural park.On-site, there are children’s playgrounds and a public restroom.An obelisk by Helmut Leherb sits beside the pond, with relief artwork on both sides, symbolizing day and night.
