Therme Wien

Europe’s largest and most advanced city spa fulfills wellness fantasies! Therme Wien, Vienna’s thermal baths, are easily accessible from the city center by metro line U1.

Even the Romans were drawn to Vienna’s sulphur medicinal springs. In order for them to be utilised, Therme Oberlaa in Vienna’s south was opened in 1974. This was turned into Therme Wien in 2010: 26 pools, 25 sauna and steam rooms, 2,500 loungers, and a 6,000 m2 health and exercise area make it Austria’s largest thermal baths.

Individual parts are designed to seem like rocks in a creek that passes through the hot baths. Follow this little stream to the Rock of Beauty, Rock of Peace, AdventureRock, SaunaRock, and FitnessRock sections. In between are two vast thermal bath landscapes with indoor and outdoor pools, heated seats and loungers that welcome you to remain for a while. A romantic grotto pool, AlphaSphere loungers for profound relaxation, a fire lounge, Austria’s first thermal baths library, an audio book lounge, and a cinema allow nothing to be desired. The small ones, in particular, may run about to their hearts’ content, thanks to four different slides, a wild water canal, three jumping towers, a water playground, a puppet show, and a karaoke stage. The indoor offering is completed with free daily children’s entertainment and supervision. However, the “Seasonal Garden” is also impressive:Aside from the 25-meter-long sport swimming pool, a spring pool, a brine pool, and several outdoor pools, Therme Wien also has a beach volleyball court, boccia court, summer bar, outdoor treatments, and numerous sun loungers for relaxation.
