One of the greatest things to do in Velden is to visit one of the beaches on Lake Wörthersee’s shore. The beaches are a terrific spot to relax and soak up the sun, and you can swim in Lake Wörthersee while admiring the surrounding forest and mountains.
Many of the hotels in Velden feature private beaches on the lakeside that hotel guests are welcome to enjoy during their stay. Alternatively, Strandbad Velden, a paid beach, provides direct access to the lake.
Strandbad Velden costs €6.80 to access, but if you arrive after 2pm, the price drops to €3.40. Deck chairs, sun beds, and cabins can be rented for an additional fee.
