The Stadtalm is without a doubt one of the most unique spots in Salzburg: it is situated right on the old defense wall atop Mönchsberg, just a few minutes’ walk from the Museum of Modern Art, and offers a panoramic view of the city.The restaurant “Zur Bürgerwehr” started here in 1863, and our home has been a Naturfreundehaus, youth hostel, and restaurant since 1950.As a charming inn with traditional Austrian food, a unique guest garden, and recently refurbished, basic guest rooms, we keep loyal to this long heritage.The panorama of Salzburg’s old town is incomparable at any time of year, as you shall witness!
