A rest stop when trekking in the summer or a well-deserved rest while skiing: The quaint Schober Alm, located in the heart of the Schmittenhöhe skiing and hiking region, serves traditional meals such as Kaiserschmarren and Kaspressknödel (cheese dumplings) all year.
The Schober Alm on the Schmittenhöhe is a favorite summer and winter meeting spot for residents and visitors alike: after all, it is not simply the handmade specialties that attract you here at 1,100 meters above sea level, but also the vast sun terrace. The menu contains traditional Austrian fare, including Kaiserschmarren and grilled meals. At the Schober Alm on weekends, you may even pre-order your imperial (sunrise) breakfast, freshly caught fish and char, chicken, or excellent ribs. This mountain lodge sits immediately in the Schmittenhöhe skiing and hiking region and is accessible by ski in the winter. In the summer, well-marked hiking routes or vehicle roads go to the Schober Alm.
