The Riegler family’s restaurant, known as the Schmankerlwirtshaus, has been situated on the south-west side of Brucker’s main square since November 1986. The house served as an inn as early as 1638.It is likely that this inn is the oldest in the city.

The cuisine at the inn is rooted in Styrian tradition, while also being mindful of seasonal ingredients. The dishes are made using only fresh, natural ingredients sourced from high-quality regional suppliers. The wine list offers an impressive selection from various regions within the wine country. Since October 2010, Styria has offered a wide selection of whiskeys, boasting approximately 60 different varieties.

Furthermore, the restaurant offers rooms suitable for any type of occasion. The guest house has a variety of spaces available for different types of events. The Hohenlimburgstüberl can accommodate up to 25 people and is perfect for family celebrations. On the first floor, the “Rennfelder Gmoastubn” can host parties for up to 30 people. For larger events of up to 80 people, the Schlaraffensaal with its open fireplace provides a cozy and inviting atmosphere.

Additionally, the sun terrace, which is partially glass-roofed and faces south, offers ample space. From there, you can enjoy a breathtaking panoramic view of Brucker’s local mountain, the Rennfeld, as well as the serene flow of the Mur river. The terrace is connected to a spacious summer and winter garden, spanning an area of 100 m². This garden includes a bar for guests to enjoy. In addition to the terrace, this sun-drenched and bright area can accommodate an additional 60 guests.
