The Parish Church of Hötting, also referred to as the New Höttinger Parish Church, is the Catholic parish church located in the district of Hötting in Innsbruck.The historicist-style building, which was constructed between 1909 and 1911, is surrounded by a cemetery.The church is dedicated to St. Ingenuin and St. Albuin, and it is listed as a Historical Monument.
The hall church is designed in a combination of neo-Romanesque and neo-Gothic styles. It has a cruciform floor plan, with three naves and three bays in the main nave. Additionally, there is a transept and a lower, semicircular closed chancel.The tower is located on the east side of the chancel. It has a square shape and features paired lancet windows on the belfry. The tower is topped with a pointed spire adorned with crabs, and it is crowned with a ball and cross.The exterior of the building is divided by buttresses, with cemetery arcades located between them.Sacristy extensions with connecting corridors are located on the west side and in the chancel, allowing for easy access around the chancel area.The church is situated in the north-east direction. In front of the entrance facade, there is a small square located at the intersection of Höttinger Gasse, Schneeburggasse, Schulgasse, and Riedgasse in the south-west.
The entrance facade is divided into three floors.The structure features a three-part portal vestibule adorned with round columns, topped by an eight-part rose window encircled by a pointed arch.Below the four pointed-arched blind niches, there are mosaics depicting St. Florian, Sebastian, Ingenuin, and Albuin.The trapezoidal gable is divided into three pointed arches. Within these arches, there are neo-Gothic figures of Christ blessing, with St. Peter and St. Paul standing on either side.
The interior of the building has a hall-like character, which is achieved by the slight staggering of the side aisles. It features predominantly early Gothic architectural elements.The transept and the recessed, single-bay choir are slightly lower and, like the nave, have cross-rib vaulting.The sanctuary is elevated by two steps.The organ gallery, featuring a tracery balustrade, is supported by three round arches resting on columns.

Rudolf Millonig carved, painted, and gilded the altars in the transepts, which were consecrated in 1991.The left transept features the altar of Mary, which showcases a depiction of Mary with the child in the mandorla. This image is positioned under the hand of God and is accompanied by two crowned angels and seven swords.The side reliefs portray various scenes including Adam and Eve, the birth of Christ, Jesus’ crucifixion, and the apocalyptic dragon.
In the right transept of the church, there is a patron altar depicting St. Florian extinguishing flames. This altar is flanked by St. Ingenuity, who holds a model of the old Höttinger church, and St. Albuin, who holds a model of the new church.The altar is adorned with a golden aureole, which beautifully encircles the heart of Jesus.
In the right aisle, there is an altar featuring a beautiful fresco painted by Carl Rieder in 1942. The fresco depicts St. Joseph with the Child Jesus.
The left aisle altar features a fresco by Schretthauser depicting St. Judas Thaddeus against a scenic landscape.
The altar of the Chapel of Mercy Kaltenbrunn, created by Andreas Huter in 1868, can be found in the right side chapel at the entrance.
The left side chapel houses a neo-Gothic winged altar, which was skillfully carved by Andreas Huter. This beautiful piece of art is currently on loan from the Innsbruck Ursuline Convent.The shrine prominently displays the heart of Jesus and the birth of Jesus at its center. These are accompanied by depictions of St. Cecilia, Klara, Barbara, and Agnes on either side. Additionally, the predella of the shrine features a depiction of the Last Supper.Each side wing displays seven reliefs depicting the Stations of the Cross.
The stained glass windows in the nave, transept, apse, side chapels, and above the organ gallery were designed by Bernard Rice and Gottlieb Schuller. They were executed by the Tyrolean Glass Painting and Mosaic Institute.The depictions represent the fundamental aspects of the Catholic faith, including faith, hope, love, and the sacraments.In the right transept, there is a round window depicting God the Father, who is surrounded by a halo. Similarly, in the left transept, there is another round window that portrays the eye of God, also encircled by a halo.The round window located above the organ gallery portrays the Lamb of God holding the book with seven seals, while being surrounded by angels who are playing music.
