Ossmannalm

Ossmannalm is a traditional alpine hut located in the valley of Saalbach Hinterglemm, a popular ski resort in Austria. It offers a panoramic view of the mountains and a playground for children. It also serves homemade and regional delicacies, such as cheese, bread, and bacon. Ossmannalm is open from May to October, and can be reached by foot, bike, or a noddy train. History

Ossmannalm was built in the 17th century by the Ossmann family, who owned the land and the cattle in the area. The hut was used as a summer residence and a dairy farm, where the family produced cheese, butter, and yogurt from the milk of their cows. The hut was also a popular stop for hikers and bikers, who enjoyed the hospitality and the specialties of the Ossmann family.

In 2014, the hut was sold to the Hasenauer family, who own the Feriengut Hasenau, a hotel and restaurant in Saalbach Hinterglemm. The Hasenauer family renovated the hut, adding modern amenities such as electricity, heating, and plumbing, but keeping the rustic and authentic style of the hut. They also continued the tradition of serving homemade and regional dishes, using organic and local ingredients.
